In honour of the 7th anniversary of bts, I write about one of their own songs. This song, from their 2019 ep "Map of the Soul: Persona", is based on the greek concept "microcosm".
The meaning of it is that, within a universe, there are many elements, who have an universe of their own within them.
The same way, bts also captures the same concept in this song. They sing about how this world is full of lights, but these lights exist due to the ones we create within ourselves. It reminds us of how each one of us is important and how we all have a special universe within ourselves. This way the song gives hope to people and tells them how their existence is needed and contributes to in this world.
